Strange problem connecting over VPN.
I have Installed Guild wars on my work laptop and it runs fine apart from when I can only connect to the outside world using VPN (the only option I have to connect is via the customer's own network in one of the places I often work and they won't supply me with an open connection because of their security policy)
If I'm connected via VPN I can launch GW and I can usually log in and select a character and sometimes it will even get as far as loading up the outpost that I'm in for a few seconds before I get an error message telling me my processor is overheating or I have a memory fault. GW will then exit. I can also do a -image just fine over VPN and GW will download updates on launch. I only get this error over VPN, on my home network or other locations it works just fine. The error message just makes no sense if it is a network related error. Any ideas? |
